The Great Wall Teapot is a masterful Yixing Zisha creation by renowned artist Pan Chen, celebrated for his innovative interpretations of traditional Chinese culture through teapot design. Made entirely from authentic original ore Di Cao Qing clay, this 480ML teapot is not only a functional piece of teaware but also a sculptural tribute to one of China’s most iconic landmarks — The Great Wall.
The teapot’s body is meticulously shaped to resemble the form of the Wall itself. Its brick-textured surface simulates stacked square stones, giving the impression of solid architectural strength. The lid knob is crafted in the likeness of an ancient beacon tower (烽火台), adding both symbolism and artistic finesse.
One side of the pot is adorned with a grand mud-painted landscape, evoking majestic mountains and rivers in sweeping brushstrokes. The reverse features an excerpt from Chairman Mao Zedong’s classic poem Ode to Snow:
“望长城内外，惟余莽莽；大河上下，顿失滔滔。”
